The Alfa Romeo Junior, initially launched as the Milano, is now officially available for purchase in Germany. Although the retail prices are on the higher side, there are attractive leasing options on offer.
The all-electric Alfa Romeo Junior Elettrica is now available at dealerships starting at €39,500. The Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida, which also features hybrid technology, will be ready for orders from October with prices beginning at €29,500. By the end of the year, the high-end model, the Junior Veloce, boasting an electric motor with 207 kW (equivalent to 280 horsepower), will complete the range at the top end.

"We've had the opportunity to showcase our new Alfa Romeo Junior on several occasions, and now the time has come for it to take up a permanent spot in the showrooms across our sales network. Those interested in the Junior can now explore it at any time through our affiliates, whether it's during a one-on-one consultation or while taking it for a test drive.
We placed significant emphasis on accompanying the launch with not just a broad advertising campaign that kicks off today but also by providing appealing leasing options," stated Niccolò Biagioli, Director of Premium Brands at Stellantis Germany.
The Trunk of the Alfa Romeo Junior
Alfa Romeo is facilitating the introduction of their latest model by offering highly appealing leasing options for both individual and business clients. Presently, the Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida can be leased at a monthly rate of just 199 euros.
Alfa Romeo launches its fully electric model, the Junior Elettrica, in German dealerships. This electric variant is powered by a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery. The electric motor, capable of producing 115 kW (which translates to 156 horsepower), enables the vehicle to cover a distance of 410 kilometers under the WLTP cycle and can extend up to 592 kilometers when driven solely in urban areas. The battery can be rapidly charged from 20% to 80% in under 30 minutes using a 100 kW DC fast charger. In addition, the new Alfa Romeo Junior Elettrica comes equipped with an 11 kW onboard charging device and a heat pump for efficient pre-heating of the battery.
The latest Junior Ibrida model incorporates a mild-hybrid system that blends a traditional combustion engine with an electric motor. This vehicle is equipped with a 1.2-liter gasoline engine producing 100 kW (136 horsepower). During specific driving conditions, it receives additional power from a 21 kW electric motor, which is powered by a 48-volt lithium-ion battery. This setup aims to significantly reduce fuel consumption.
Alfa Romeo Junior (2024) – The upcoming model year
The new Junior's hybrid propulsion system also ensures a smooth ride with the capability to operate on purely electric power at times. The battery is charged exclusively while the vehicle is in motion, such as through regenerative braking.
The Veloce, a top model
For the first time, the all-electric Junior Veloce is utilizing a newly engineered hybrid synchronous motor that delivers 207 kW of power, equivalent to 280 horsepower. To effectively convert the substantial torque of 345 Newton-meters into forward motion, the front axle is equipped with a Torsen mechanical limited-slip differential, named for its torque-sensing capabilities.
According to Alfa, the transverse lock effectively prevents the front drive wheels from spinning when accelerating powerfully. The benefits include enhanced steering response and more dynamic cornering. The limited-slip differential in the Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce operates purely mechanically, similar to a race car, making it a unique feature in the realm of fully electric vehicles.
Further information on the Alfa Romeo Junior:
Moreover, the latest Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce distinguishes itself from other models in the series by featuring a more responsive steering system and a suspension lowered by 25 millimeters. Enhanced stabilizers at the front and rear axles diminish the body roll during sharp turns. A high-performance braking system ensures effective deceleration. The standard 20-inch alloy wheels come equipped with tires specifically designed to meet the demands of high-powered electric vehicles.
