Tragic Incident in Eastern China: Bus Collision Claims Lives of 5 Children and 6 Adults
Authorities have detained the bus driver involved in a devastating accident in eastern China, where a bus plowed into a crowd outside a school, resulting in the deaths of 11 people, including five children and six adults, and injuring many others. This incident occurred shortly after national media emphasized new safety protocols for student protection.
On Tuesday morning in eastern China, a bus plowed into a group of people outside a middle school, resulting in 11 fatalities and 24 injuries.
State-run CCTV reported that the accident happened at about 7 a.m. outside Foshan Junior High School in Dongping County, Shandong Province, on the second day back to school.
According to the report, those injured were transported to the hospital.
According to Dongping police, the tragic incident resulted in the deaths of six parents and five students. Additionally, one individual sustained severe injuries, while 12 others are currently in stable condition. The status of the remaining victims has not been disclosed.
According to police, the vehicle involved was a school bus tasked with transporting students. It veered off course while nearing an intersection, colliding with a group of people. Authorities have since taken the driver into custody, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
