Tragic Morning in Eastern China: 11 Dead, Including 5 Students, After Bus Plows into School Crowd
In eastern China, a tragic incident occurred outside a school when a bus plowed into a crowd, resulting in the deaths of five children and six adults. Following the incident, the bus driver was taken into custody by the police. This devastating crash, which also left several people injured, comes shortly after national media reported on new initiatives aimed at enhancing student safety.
On Tuesday morning, a bus plowed into a group of people in front of a junior high school in eastern China, resulting in 11 fatalities and 24 injuries.
State media outlet CCTV reported that an accident took place at approximately 7 a.m. in front of Foshan Junior High School located in Dongping County, Shandong Province, on the second day of the school year.
According to the report, the injured were transported to the hospital.
Dongping police reported that among the deceased were six parents and five students. One individual sustained severe injuries, while twelve others are in stable condition. The status of the remaining victims has not been disclosed.
Authorities reported that a school bus was involved in an accident while transporting students. The bus lost control near an intersection and collided with a group of people. The driver is currently in police custody, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
