Ralf Schumacher made a comeback to racing and found himself back in the winner's circle.

Over the weekend, the ex-Formula 1 racer teamed up with his son, David Schumacher, to compete in the Prototype Cup Germany event.

Over the weekend at the Nurburgring, the Schumacher pair dominated the competition, securing first place on the podium.

"An amazing day," was Ralf's response.

David expressed, "The weekend was incredibly touching and triumphant."

It was a dream realized to be behind the wheel alongside my dad, and I tip my hat to him. I'm grateful to my dad for making this possible.

"A weekend to always remember!"

Ralf expressed, "A day that will forever be etched in our memories. Standing together on the podium, truly an extraordinary moment."

The father-son pair made a special appearance at the competition.

They recorded the quickest laps in all the practice rounds and secured the top spot in the qualifying session.

Ralf and David took the helm of a Ligier LMP3 prototype car.

On Sunday, David initially surrendered the lead but managed to regain it after several laps.

"David mentioned, 'The beginning process here slightly varies from the ADAC GT Masters, where I typically race.'"

"Nevertheless, I managed to reclaim the lead position after several laps. My aim then shifted to extending the largest advantage for my father."

Ralf secured the victory for their second residence and mentioned, "Today, the primary effort was made by David."

He subsequently stated: "In my view, teams in Formula 4, such as our US Racing, display a high level of professionalism and expertise. Our preparation was outstanding. Ensuring the vehicle performs well under any circumstances is crucial, and we managed to accomplish this.

"The entire idea, along with the series and the car, is truly excellent."

Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher, who is also the sibling of famed racer Michael Schumacher, has openly declared his homosexuality.

David, his son, competes in auto racing, whereas his nephew Mick Schumacher, who is also Michael's son, harbors aspirations of making a comeback to Formula 1.
