Initial lineup for the F1 British Grand Prix: Adjusted starting positions following penalties
Here is the starting arrangement for the 2024 British Grand Prix at Silverstone after penalties have been applied.
George Russell starts at the front of the grid, followed by his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton, while McLaren's Lando Norris secures the third spot, making it an all-British top three at Silverstone.
Max Verstappen of Red Bull will line up alongside Norris on the second row for the British Grand Prix.
Oscar Piastri's second McLaren moves up to fifth place, ahead of Nico Hulkenberg's Haas.
Carlos Sainz will start in the seventh position, followed by Lance Stroll, Alex Albon, and Fernando Alonso.
Sergio Perez is set to begin the race from the pitlane following Red Bull's decision to install a new power unit in his vehicle. The Mexican driver had initially been scheduled to start in 19th position after experiencing another disappointing qualifying session.
