Motorcycling Community Mourns the Loss of Luca Salvadori: Tributes Pour In from Fans and Fellow Racers
Outpouring of tributes and remembrances follow the passing of Luca Salvadori
Following the weekend death of Italian motorcyclist Luca Salvadori, MotoGP champion Francesco Bagnaia has been at the forefront of paying tribute.
Many have paid tribute to Luca Salvadori, with fellow motorcycle racers among those honoring the late Italian.
Salvadori passed away following a crash in Frohburg, Germany, during a race in the International Road Racing Championship (IRRC).
This was Salvadori's third time competing in the IRRC, and he had also participated in the CIV Italian Superbike Championship this year, riding a Ducati Panigale V4 R.
Before that, he competed in the 2023 MotoE World Championship, the inaugural season featuring the Ducati V21L. Representing the Pramac team—known for having Jorge Martin and Franco Morbidelli in the MotoGP World Championship—Salvadori ended up 18th in the overall riders' rankings.

Pramac shared a post on Instagram after the announcement of Salvadori's passing. The message from the team says:
In 2023, Luca Salvadori was welcomed into our MotoE team, becoming a member of the family.
"It's incredibly heartbreaking to learn about his death during a wildcard race at the International Road Racing Championship in Germany."
"Farewell, Luca. May you rest peacefully."
Salvadori gained recognition not only for his racing skills but also for his vibrant personality and strong media presence. He often shared behind-the-scenes glimpses into the world of motorcycle racing through his own content, such as YouTube vlogs. These vlogs included insights from notable events like the first official MotoE test with the V21L at Jerez in November 2022.
Emphasizing this point was Francesco Bagnaia, the current Ducati MotoGP racer and the reigning World Champion, who referred to Salvadori as a "very positive individual."
Italian writer shared on Instagram that Luca Salvadori was a significant figure, admired by him and all fans of motorsport.
"In a reality where things function differently, where achievements are not always excused, he consistently provided impartial commentary on each race, session, and event."

Sky Italia shared a post on Instagram, which was credited to Italian commentator and journalist Guido Meda, honoring Salvadori as a “good guy.”
According to a post by Sky Italia, Salvadori "had his dimples etched permanently beside a very gentle smile." The post describes him as kind-hearted and generous, proud of achieving independence without relying on his parents' resources. He appreciated consistency, had a deep affection for people, cherished his bicycle, and had a profound love for life.
