The incoming administration has committed to reviving Rishi Sunak's key anti-smoking legislation. Originally, the proposal aimed to prohibit the sale of cigarettes to individuals aged 14 and younger, indefinitely. However, this initiative was put on hold prior to the election.

"I won't speculate on the specifics of upcoming legislation, but I will emphasize that any steps to broaden regulations concerning smoking will be taken in thorough consultation with the hospitality industry."
