Hair-Raising Escape at F1 Canadian GP: Hulkenberg’s Near Miss with Tsunoda
Harrowing close call at the F1 Canadian Grand Prix: “I was braced for impact, eyes shut…”
“It seemed to be just millimetres away – the proximity was extremely tight."
The frightening close call involving Nico Hulkenberg and Yuki Tsunoda at the previous weekend's F1 Canadian Grand Prix was detailed.
RB racer Tsunoda lost grip of his vehicle, leading to a spin across the turf at the eighth bend.
Emerging swiftly from Turn 9 came Hulkenberg's Haas.
Inexplicably, the vehicles avoided a collision.
Hulkenberg expressed uncertainty, stating, "I'm at a loss…
I attempted to respond, aimed to halt, and endeavored to evade him.
"It had to be just a few millimetres – it seemed extremely close."
"I had already shut my eyes, preparing myself for what was coming, yet, fortunately, I somehow avoided it."

Hulkenberg ultimately secured the 11th spot, finishing just in front of his teammate Kevin Magnussen.
Earlier in the competition, they were positioned in fourth and seventh places, respectively.
Magnussen faced a delay due to a sluggish pit stop while switching to intermediate tires.
Magnussen expressed his frustration, stating, "I believe we didn't maximize our potential."
"Despite the abundance of opportunities presented by the competition, it appears we failed to fully leverage them, which is indeed disheartening."
"We'll examine it and attempt to grasp what it means. At the moment, everything seems a little unclear.
"Definitely, there was plenty of potential, but unfortunately, we didn't score any points, so it's crucial we investigate further."
"Our team experienced one particularly sluggish and another moderately slow pit stop."
"Additionally, I believe we switched from the full wet tires to the intermediates prematurely, leading us to opt for another set of intermediates, which seemed unnecessary."
"However, I need to thoroughly investigate to confirm that my assertion is accurate."
"Indeed, at the start of the race, it seemed as though something was about to happen, yet it amounted to nothing."
Hulkenberg mentioned, "The initial 10 laps progressed quite smoothly."
"However, it eventually dried up and everything fell apart once more. Nonetheless, that was the situation."
"We were aware of that possibility – not exactly a risk, but that specific situation. However, we aimed for a flawless race, free from errors at the very least."
