Ickx Withdraws from Zandvoort Event
Vanina Ickx is set to miss the seventh DTM race after a crash during qualifying at Zandvoort left her Audi A4 damaged beyond quick repair, preventing her mechanics from readying the car in time for the event.
Ickx was striving to advance to the second round of qualifying when he lost control at Scheivlak. The Audi, managed by Futurecom, got stuck in the gravel and flipped over.
Despite being undamaged, the Belgian's vehicle cannot be repaired quickly enough for her to participate in the race, much to her dismay.
