Four Audi racers were disqualified from the DTM season's fourth race at Zandvoort because of rule violations after the event in the Netherlands.
After securing fourth place, Alex Premat was disqualified from the results for arriving 'significantly too late' for the post-race weight inspections. The same violation led to Timo Scheider's exclusion from his eighth-place finish.
Four drivers from Audi have been disqualified from the fourth round of the DTM season at Zandvoort after violating regulations during the Dutch race.
After securing fourth place, Alex Premat was disqualified from the results for being "significantly too late" for post-race weight inspections, a rule violation that also led to Timo Scheider's exclusion from eighth place.
Markus Winkelhock finished in sixth place but was discovered to have less than the mandated one kilogram of fuel in his vehicle at the end of the race. Meanwhile, Christian Bakkerud did not appear for the compulsory weight inspections following the race.
Even with the exclusions, the outcomes are still tentative as further inquiry into Audi's implementation of team orders in the final moments of the race is required.
