**Tire Troubles and Tactical Triumphs: Binder’s Burnout and Miller’s Misfortune at Aragon MotoGP**
Brad Binder exclaimed, "I ended up doing another rolling burnout!" Meanwhile, Jack Miller mentioned, "Rins managed to get ahead of me." Binder added, "I had a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning at the start…"
Brad Binder had his best MotoGP performance since the season began in Qatar, securing 4th and 6th place finishes at the Aragon event.
Although he veered off course in both races, he still managed to secure seventh place on the cleaner part of a messy starting grid.
Binder trailed rookie Pedro Acosta during the middle portions of the race, which turned into a contest for third place when Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta remained just beyond grasp.
"I had a solid strategy last night to avoid losing traction at the start, and I executed another rolling burnout just like I did yesterday!" Binder smiled.
"I was able to navigate through and overtake several competitors. It was challenging to avoid errors as the front tire was overheating while following others until the final part of the race."
"I attempted to gain time while exiting the corners since I couldn't enter them quickly due to the front tire overheating. However, this strategy backfired as the left side of the tire was completely worn out by the end."
"I did everything I could to overtake Pedro, but I had no power left from behind!"
"Additionally, we made several encouraging advancements this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance and it appeared to be effective throughout the entire race."
Fellow racer Jack Miller had a strong start, advancing from 15th position on the grid to eighth place by the conclusion of the first lap. However, the Australian quickly experienced issues with rear tire traction.
After being overtaken by Alex Rins for ninth place on the final lap, he, along with two other riders, was handed a 16-second penalty for tyre pressure violations after the race, resulting in a drop to 15th position.
“It was a lengthy race,” Miller remarked. “The track conditions varied once more; it’s been quite dirty throughout the weekend, but today it felt even more slippery.”
“I gave it my all. It was tough to manage the [medium] rear tire, and I experienced a significant highside incident when exiting the final turn.
"I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges transitioning from the tire's edge to its center… but I managed to finish successfully."
"I didn't make any errors during the race, but I found it difficult to keep up with the guys ahead of me. We'll continue to work hard."
"Glad to finish in the top ten, but Rins overtook me on the final lap's back straight. I tried my best to be accurate, but a poor drive allowed him to outpace me down the straight."
"We will return to Misano."
KTM will have five riders this weekend with test rider Pol Espargaro joining as a wild-card.
“Head to Misano now, keeping in mind the upcoming test and Pol’s wildcard, which will be beneficial for us moving forward,” stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial Misano MotoGP event will commence with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, with Acosta currently in fifth place in the world championship standings.
Miller, who might be formally announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider at the team's home races in Italy, is currently in 15th place, trailing Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo by three points.
