Rising Star Ollie Bearman Secures Six-Figure Haas Deal Ahead of Spanish GP FP1 Debut
Ollie Bearman is set to secure a lucrative six-figure contract as his next Formula 1 appearance nears. He will be driving for Haas during the first practice session at the Spanish Grand Prix on Friday.
According to reports, Ollie Bearman is expected to receive a contract worth six figures to race for Haas in 2025.
A British teenager is set to drive for the Formula One team once more during the first practice session at the Spanish Grand Prix this weekend.
Haas has assigned Bearman six FP1 sessions this season to monitor his development closely.
"Naturally, we are assessing his performance," stated Ayao Komatsu, the head of Haas.
“If he wasn’t being considered, we wouldn’t have him driving in the first practice session, and his next appearance in the car will be in Barcelona.”
According to the Daily Mail, Bearman has covertly agreed to a two-year contract to compete full-time for Haas.
The 19-year-old is set to earn between £250,000 and £300,000 in his first year.
If Haas decides to retain him for the 2026 season, he has the potential to double his earnings.
Bearman would join Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, and Lando Norris as the fourth British driver in Formula 1.
Bearman excelled in an unanticipated Formula 1 race debut for Ferrari earlier this year.
Standing in for the ailing Carlos Sainz, Bearman secured a seventh-place finish at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, becoming the third-youngest driver ever to compete in Formula 1.
He is a driver enrolled in the Ferrari academy who relocated to Maranello to hone his skills.
The Mail reports that Haas is considering putting him in their car next year due to his talent.
Komatsu emphasized the requirements for their new driver: "We need someone with experience, a strong work ethic, the ability to integrate smoothly with the team, and the drive to propel the team forward…"
"We're seeking that, so we're in discussions with multiple drivers."
The most promising upcoming talent in F1 will be driving the car on Friday in Barcelona.
