Quartararo and Rins Revitalize Yamaha Spirits in Valencia Testing Ahead of Dutch TT
Fabio Quartararo: ‘101 laps, bike feels significantly improved’
Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins completed an extensive day of private MotoGP testing in Valencia in preparation for the upcoming Dutch TT this weekend.
Yamaha was able to overcome its streak of bad weather during private tests at Valencia, allowing Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins to complete a full day of testing with their M1 motorcycles.
The riders faced challenges with the weight of their bikes at Mugello. However, after completing 101 productive laps in Spain, Quartararo shared on social media that the "bike felt significantly better in Valencia. Let's give it our all in Assen 😈"
Rins indicated that the test went well, although no specific lap times or technical details were disclosed. He shared a video of his "final lap of the test (but I could go on working and enjoying this all day) ✅ Thanks for your hard work, team! @yamahamotogp"
Quartararo and Rins are set to return to official MotoGP competition this weekend at the Dutch TT in Assen.
Yamaha's latest victories at Assen came in 2019 with Maverick Vinales and in 2021 with Quartararo.
The French rider was elevated to third place in last year's Sprint race due to a penalty given to Brad Binder but ended up crashing early in the main event.
