Quartararo and Rins Optimistic After ‘Really Positive’ Valencia Test Ahead of Dutch TT
Fabio Quartararo shared that after completing 101 laps, the motorcycle's performance has significantly improved. Quartararo, alongside Alex Rins, dedicated an entire day to an exclusive MotoGP test session in Valencia, preparing for the upcoming Dutch TT this weekend.
Yamaha's streak of unfortunate weather during their private testing sessions came to an end in Valencia, where Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins were able to complete a full day of testing on their M1 motorcycles.
The cyclists faced difficulties with their motorcycles feeling cumbersome at Mugello, yet following an optimistic 101 laps in Spain, Quartararo shared on social media, expressing, “Motorcycle felt significantly improved in Valencia. Time to give our all at Assen 😈”
Rins hinted at a successful outcome from the test, though he didn't share any specific lap times or technical data. He uploaded a video captioned with "Final lap of the test (though I could continue to work and have fun like this throughout the day) ✅ Appreciate all the hard work, team! @yamahamotogp"
Quartararo and Rins are set to return to the official MotoGP lineup for the upcoming Dutch TT at Assen this weekend.
Yamaha's latest victories at Assen were secured in 2019 by Maverick Vinales and subsequently in 2021 by Quartararo.
The French rider moved up to third place in the previous year's Sprint race following a penalty imposed on Brad Binder, but he failed to finish the grand prix due to an early crash.
