Marco Bezzecchi has faced a challenging beginning to the 2024 MotoGP season, yet the opportunity for him to secure a complete factory contract remains open.
Marc Marquez has been secured by Ducati over Jorge Martin to partner with Francesco Bagnaia for the forthcoming two seasons, beginning in 2025.
Nonetheless, Bezzecchi might secure a position with a factory team, potentially on what's considered the grid's second most competitive motorcycle.
Following the acquisition of Martin on the Monday subsequent to the Italian MotoGP, Aprilia has been strongly associated with Bezzecchi in their efforts to enlist an Italian rider.
Bezzecchi meets these requirements, also having experienced multiple wins in MotoGP races.
When questioned about what lies ahead, Bezzecchi was reserved, stating, "Currently, given my situation, I'm definitely exploring my options, but I'm also facing some challenges. So, my focus isn't really on what's next. I'm more concerned with the here and now."
Nonetheless, Bezzecchi acknowledged that another manufacturer has shown interest in him.
Aprilia is anticipated to finalize an agreement with the VR46 academy rider, aiming to team up Bezzecchi with Martin upon successfully sealing the deal.
Bezzecchi's departure will deal a significant hit to Ducati's secondary lineup, yet for the Italian rider, this transition might unlock the door to his next level of achievement.
In response to inquiries about whether he has attracted attention from parties besides Ducati, Bezzecchi confirmed, "Yes."
Nonetheless, he continued by admitting, "the reality is, I'm uncertain" about where he will be competing in 2025.
