Marco Bezzecchi has faced a challenging beginning to the 2024 MotoGP season, yet the chance for him to secure a full factory contract remains open.
Marc Marquez has been chosen over Jorge Martin to join Ducati and will partner with Francesco Bagnaia for the upcoming two seasons, beginning in 2025.
Nevertheless, Bezzecchi might secure a position with a factory team, potentially on what many consider the second-best motorcycle available.
Following the signing of Martin on the Monday succeeding the Italian MotoGP, Aprilia has been strongly associated with Bezzecchi in their pursuit to secure an Italian rider.
Bezzecchi suits that description and is also a rider who has celebrated several wins in MotoGP.
When questioned about his plans, Bezzecchi was hesitant to reveal details. He commented, “At the moment, I am somewhat exploring my options, but I am also facing challenges currently. Therefore, I am not putting much thought into what lies ahead. My focus is on the present.”
Nevertheless, Bezzecchi acknowledged that another manufacturer has shown interest in him.
Aprilia is anticipated to finalize an agreement for the VR46 academy rider, which would result in Bezzecchi teaming up with Martin if the deal goes through.
Bezzecchi's departure will be a significant loss for Ducati's satellite team, but for the Italian rider, this change might be crucial for his progress.
When questioned about whether he had attracted attention from any team besides Ducati, Bezzecchi replied affirmatively, saying, "Yes."
Nevertheless, he continued by stating, "Honestly, I am uncertain" about where he will be competing in 2025.
