KTM Sets High Goals for Jack Miller’s Final Season Before Major Team Shake-Up in 2025
KTM pledges to aid Jack Miller in regaining his performance as a token of appreciation for his dedication prior to his departure.
KTM has outlined their objectives for the rest of this season, ahead of unveiling a revamped MotoGP team.
For the 2025 MotoGP season, the official team will showcase riders Brad Binder and Pedro Acosta, while the newly named, orange-dressed Tech3 team will welcome additions Maverick Vinales and Enea Bastianini, both of whom will be riding factory-backed motorcycles.
Jack Miller and Augusto Fernandez, the team's present racers, are searching for a new motorcycle to ensure their continuation in MotoGP for the upcoming season.
Francesco Guidotti, the team's principal, shared his objectives for the remainder of 2024 with Sky Italia.
"He mentioned that the aim was to enhance last year's outcomes, especially since the standards have increased."
"Discovering a somewhat sharper Binder in understanding this new rear tire that has brought us considerable pleasure but also a few challenges."
"Let's elevate Brad to the pinnacle of the leaderboard again, just as we did at the season's start and as was the case the previous year."
"Acosta is on the rise, impressing as a newcomer with his notable and delightful emergence."
“In seeking out Miller once more, we aim to ensure he receives the recognition he's rightfully earned for his dedication and effort invested in this initiative.”
Last year, Binder stood out as the leading rider not riding for Ducati, but this season has been challenging for him, while Acosta, a young talent, has emerged as KTM's standout performer.
The seasoned Miller currently holds the 16th spot in the rankings, with a notable fifth-place finish in Portimao providing a brief moment of relief in what has been a challenging season.
KTM has secured a deal with Aprilia's Vinales, a rider who has demonstrated exceptional performance and is currently in top form, having won races.
"Guidotti mentioned, "He's well-known to KTM and shares a strong bond with our general manager."
"I believe it was more about discovering him, rather than searching for him.
"He strikes me as highly energetic, though, as noted, maintaining professionalism is crucial."
"The lineup for 2025 has been established, but it's crucial that everyone dedicates themselves to their tasks and objectives for the current year."
Vinales and Bastianini are set to join Binder and Acosta's squad, where they will need to blend in.
KTM has set its sights on ambitious goals for 2025 and the years that follow.
"Guidotti emphasized that their collective aim, whether it be the team, the company, or the riders individually, is to secure the championship title."
"The process of combining our efforts will be straightforward since we're all headed in the same direction."
"The partnership with the Tech3 team is highly integrated."
"You provided an excellent analogy with football: it involves one team made up of various players."
"The resources are equally accessible to all this year, including Acosta and Augusto Fernandez. Thus, our focus should be on speeding up, maintaining our development momentum, and enhancing our team with two additional high-caliber riders."
