KTM Charts Path to MotoGP Glory: New Goals Set as Jack Miller Prepares Exit
KTM sets fresh goals for Jack Miller before his departure
KTM promises to assist Jack Miller in regaining his performance as a gesture of appreciation for his dedication
KTM has outlined their objectives for the rest of the season as they prepare to debut a revamped MotoGP team.
In the 2025 MotoGP season, Brad Binder and Pedro Acosta will compete for the official team, while Maverick Vinales and Enea Bastianini will join the rebranded Tech3 team, which will sport new orange colors and use factory motorcycles.
Jack Miller and Augusto Fernandez, who are currently racing, are searching for a new motorcycle to continue competing in MotoGP next year.
Team manager Francesco Guidotti shared with Sky Italia the goal he is aiming for in the remainder of 2024.
"The level has increased even more, so we need to enhance last year's performance," he mentioned.
"Discovering a somewhat sharper Binder with the understanding of this new rear tire, which is bringing us much satisfaction along with a few challenges."
"Therefore, return Brad to the leading position as he was at the start of the season and last year."
"Acosta is progressing well, which is a pleasant and significant development for a newcomer."
"And to locate Miller once more, depriving him of the well-earned recognition for the dedication he has shown and continues to show towards this project."
Last year, Binder was the best rider who wasn't on a Ducati, but this season has been tough for him as the young Acosta has emerged as KTM's standout performer.
Veteran racer Miller holds the 16th position in the rankings, with a fifth-place finish in Portimao serving as a rare highlight in an otherwise challenging season.
KTM has secured a race-winning rider in excellent form by signing Aprilia’s Vinales.
"He is someone KTM has known for a long time and he shares a strong bond with our general manager," Guidotti remarked.
“I believe it was more about discovering him than actually searching for him.”
"I perceive him as highly enthusiastic; however, we need to maintain a professional demeanor."
"Our plans for 2025 are established, but it is crucial that everyone remains dedicated to their tasks and objectives for this year."
Vinales and Bastianini will have to adapt to joining Binder and Acosta's team.
KTM's goals for 2025 and the future are extremely ambitious.
"Our unified aim, whether as a team, a company, or individual riders, is to secure the championship title," stated Guidotti.
"The process of integration will be straightforward since everyone is aligned towards the same goal."
"The Tech3 team and we work together very closely."
“You used a football analogy that was quite effective: it’s one team composed of various players.
All riders, including Acosta and Augusto Fernandez, have access to the same resources this year. Our focus should be on speeding up, continuing our development, and reinforcing our team with two additional top-tier riders.
