Jack Miller Secures Final Spot on 2025 MotoGP Grid with Pramac Yamaha Comeback

Announcement: Pramac Yamaha Welcomes Jack Miller for the 2025 MotoGP Season

Jack Miller is set to rejoin Pramac, marking his comeback with the team's transition to Yamaha.

The last slot for the 2025 MotoGP roster has been officially filled as Jack Miller joins the Pramac Yamaha team, partnering with Miguel Oliveira.

The Australian is making a comeback to the team he previously competed with, using Ducati equipment, between 2018 and 2020.

Subsequently, Miller advanced to the Ducati factory team, securing three victories, prior to becoming a part of Red Bull KTM at the onset of the previous year.

Similar to Oliveira, Miller has also inked a deal directly with Yamaha and is guaranteed access to a Factory 2025 YZR-M1, along with complete Factory backing. Contrary to the Portuguese racer, who secured a two-year contract, it seems Miller has agreed to a contract lasting just one year.

"Lin Jarvis, the managing director of Yamaha Racing, expressed delight in welcoming Jack to the Prima Pramac Racing team, emphasizing the warm reception into the Yamaha MotoGP family."

Boasting a decade of MotoGP expertise across three distinct manufacturers, Jack is set to become an indispensable addition to Yamaha. His rapid pace, deep understanding, dedication, and collaborative attitude are expected to greatly benefit our endeavor to enhance the M1's capabilities in 2025 and the years that follow.

Yamaha is committed to providing him with all the support he needs.

During his prior stint with Pramac, Miller achieved nine podium finishes and has been warmly received 'back home' by team leader Paolo Campinoti.

"Campinoti expressed delight in Jack's return to the squad, stating, "Having backed his development in MotoGP, we're thrilled to embark on this fresh partnership with Yamaha, leveraging the skills of a racer we're quite familiar with. We're eager for Jack to finish the season strong and are happy to have him rejoin our team in 2025."

Gino Borsoi, the team manager who became part of the Pramac crew at the beginning of the previous year, will collaborate with Miller for their initial partnership.

"In 2025, I'm looking forward to collaborating with Jack Miller. He's left a positive mark on the team, and I believe we're going to make more great memories," Borsoi stated. "His significant background in MotoGP will definitely play a crucial role in advancing the new initiative we're launching with Yamaha."

Newcomer Pedro Acosta is set to fill Miller’s position at KTM in 2025. The 29-year-old, who made a direct jump to MotoGP from Moto3 in 2015 and secured an unexpected victory for Marc VDS Honda the next year, was taken aback by not securing a spot with Tech3.

Miller subsequently acknowledged that his prospects of remaining in MotoGP appeared dim, mentioning that there were no calls coming in, before unexpectedly becoming the leading candidate for the Pramac Yamaha seat.

Miller secured a podium finish in just his fourth Grand Prix with KTM, which took place in Jerez the previous year, followed by another podium in the Sprint race in Germany. However, he has not made it back to the podium since then.

Heading into this weekend's Emilia Romagna race, the ex-Moto3 second-place finisher ranks 15th in the championship standings.

Pramac, at the forefront of the MotoGP championship with Jorge Martin riding Ducati bikes, will operate top-tier M1s next season, matching the equipment of the official Monster Yamaha squad.
