Bagnaia and Marquez were seen angrily signaling to each other in the gravel following the incident, but it appeared at first that they had not sustained any serious injuries.
Marquez veered off course, holding onto third place with six laps to go.
Starting from the fourth spot, Bagnaia attempted to pass him.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be glued to the front end of Marquez's bike.
The two bicycles became entangled and veered off the path.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped under Marquez's Ducati during their slide.
However, he stood up and gestured towards Marquez, indicating that he was fine.
He strolled off, his leathers scratched and worn on his arm, perhaps lucky that the harm was not more severe.
Bagnaia was examined at the medical facility.
Within half an hour after the incident occurred, Bagnaia and Marquez were observed strolling through the paddock area, no longer in their racing suits, and appeared to be without injuries.
Stewards are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Defending MotoGP champion Bagnaia started Sunday three points behind the current championship frontrunner, Jorge Martin.
Securing the second position in Sunday's Aragon MotoGP, Martin has now taken a 23-point lead in the championship standings.
Marc Marquez emerged victorious in the race.
