On Monday, officials in Golmud, located in Qinghai province, and in Jingyuan county, Gansu province, announced the formation of dedicated teams to probe into the matter.
"Golmud officials stated that they will promptly release the findings of the investigation and details on the case management."
"Authorities will impose strict penalties on those found guilty of the crimes, in accordance with the law."
The food safety committee in Jingyuan released a comparable announcement.
