Following a software enhancement on Taobao's application for Apple's Vision Pro headset, consumers now have the ability to virtually try out Xiaomi's SU7 prior to making an online purchase.
Alibaba's local e-commerce division, Taobao and Tmall Group, revealed that the concept emerged when its XR team began investigating the web-based shopping experience for large scale items like cars, furniture, and major home appliances. They discovered several obstacles, such as the lack of a simple method for customers to test out products.
The Vision Pro function provides a Virtual Reality setting that allows individuals to delve into the intricate features of the Xiaomi car, including the steering wheel and dashboard. Furthermore, it offers users a unique experience that can only be safely achieved in a simulated setting: driving at velocities exceeding 140 miles per hour.
