**Title: “Ducati Chooses Marc Marquez for 2025 MotoGP Line-Up: Marketing and Publicity Key Factors”**
Citing "publicity" and "marketing" as key factors, Ducati has selected Marc Marquez
“I hold no grudge against Ducati or their parent company”
Marc Marquez's marketability has been identified as a major factor in Ducati's decision to select him for their official team next year.
Ducati made a significant decision regarding their 2025 MotoGP roster, ultimately selecting Marquez after initially appearing to favor Jorge Martin.
In addition to his racing achievements, financial considerations have been cited as a reason for Ducati's decision to bring Marquez into their main team.
During the Dutch MotoGP event this weekend, broadcaster Simon Crafar remarked: “Regardless of your opinion on the matter or whether you believe it was unjust towards Jorge, which is a valid perspective…
"Regardless of whether you believe choosing Marc was the clear-cut decision, which is indeed accurate…"
"I don't hold Ducati or their parent company responsible in any way. He receives the highest amount of attention."
"He is incredibly driven. He ensures success. In this competition, he's the sole '23 model participating."
"He hasn't been involved for a long time. Gigi Dall'Igna reviews all the data and observes his performance with the available resources."
"I suppose sponsors were enthusiastic about it, and Audi, the parent company, was eager to promote it."
"I completely get the reasons behind their actions when considering everything."
Marc Marquez: Pecco Bagnaia holds top spot within the team
Pecco Bagnaia noted at Assen that Ducati did not seek his input regarding the selection of his future teammate.
Marquez emphasized that they had not discussed Ducati's significant decision, made shortly after the Mugello event, until they met again in Assen this week.
“We didn’t get to talk to Pecco,” Marquez stated.
“He's the titleholder. I find it incredibly rewarding. This year, I'm gaining knowledge on how to handle this Ducati by observing him. We'll continue with the same approach next year.”
“He holds the top spot in the garage. He clinched victory in the past two years.”
"We will give our all to support him. While we will be rivals on the race track, within the garage we must collaborate to ensure our team remains the best."
The dynamic between Bagnaia and Marquez, both world champions, as teammates on MotoGP’s top motorcycle next year is sure to be fascinating.
However, their immediate focus this weekend at the Dutch MotoGP is the championship competition.
Pramac's Martin is currently at the top of the championship standings, holding an 18-point lead over Bagnaia.
Gresini’s Marquez holds third place, trailing Martin by 35 points, and is yet to secure his first win on a Ducati.
