Preiserhöhung trifft Dacia Jogger: 1.000 Euro teurer, aber mit Mehrwert durch verbesserte Serienausstattung
The 2024 Dacia Jogger will see a price increase of 1,000 euros, however, it will come with a significantly enhanced standard equipment package. It's a familiar scenario: prices are rising across the board, and cars are no exception. Recent EU regulations necessitate the inclusion of additional driver assistance systems as standard features. Consequently, the year 2024 will witness various minor updates to models, with some older versions being completely phased out of the market. Dacia, known for its affordability, is not immune to these changes. In Germany, the starting price of the new Jogger has risen by 1,000 euros, which is quite significant for the brand's typically low-priced range.
Before we all start shouting "scandal," it's important to assess the situation with fairness. As early as February 2024, Dacia pointed out and explained the upcoming changes. Known as GSR II, it includes rules aimed at enhancing road safety for everyone, including pedestrians and cyclists. With the GSR II revisions, specific safety equipment will become mandatory starting from July 2024.

Therefore, the starting price of 17,900 euros for the most affordable Jogger model, equipped with a 100-horsepower turbo engine and an LPG tank, is justified. It is important to note that this price is for the five-seater version, as opting for the additional row of seats in the back will set buyers back an additional 1,000 euros. Moreover, it's expected that even after the introduction of the Bigster, the Jogger will likely remain the sole seven-seater option in Dacia's lineup.
