2025 Audi E-Tron GT Revamp: More Power, Range, and Efficiency in the Latest Electric Marvel
The latest model of the Audi E-Tron GT, set to release in 2025, enhances its range, power, and efficiency, following an update announced on Monday.
The appearance of the E-Tron GT remains largely the same as when it first appeared in 2021, but there are fresh designs for the front end on various models. Audi has focused on enhancing the car's capabilities, similar to the recent upgrades seen in the Porsche Taycan for the 2025 model.
Audi has eliminated the standard E-Tron GT model. Taking its place as the starting option is the fresh 670-horsepower S E-Tron GT. The existing RS E-Tron GT model has been relegated to an intermediate position, boosting its power from an earlier 647 horsepower to 845 horsepower. The lineup is now crowned by the latest RS E-Tron GT Performance version, boasting an impressive 912 horsepower. This top-tier model can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.5 seconds, with its maximum speed capped at 155 mph.
2025 Model of the Audi RS E-Tron GT
Every model comes with a standard dual-motor all-wheel drive setup; there's no option for a model with just one motor or a three-motor variant as seen in the Audi SQ8 E-Tron high-performance electric SUV. Additionally, each vehicle includes a boost function capable of providing an extra 94 hp for short bursts of 10 seconds.
Each version employs an identical 105-kwh battery, similar to the upgraded Taycan's. This battery is positioned lower and has a minor weight reduction at 1,378 pounds compared to the older 83.7-kwh battery while offering more power. The charging capacity has been boosted from 270 kw to 320 kw, allowing a charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. Additionally, the top amount of energy that can be recaptured through the regenerative braking system has risen from 290 kw to 400 kw.
Audi predicts their vehicle can travel up to 378 miles on a single charge according to the WLTP standards in Europe. Although the EPA rating in the U.S. may be less, it's expected to surpass the existing E-Tron GT's range of 249 miles.
2025 model of Audi's electric vehicle, the S E-Tr
Additional updates encompass enhanced 10-piston calipers for the front brakes, featuring basic steel rotors on the S E-Tron GT. For the RS versions, there's a tungsten carbide-coated rotor option (also accessible for the S model), and the choice of carbon ceramic rotors. Upgraded driveshafts, reprogrammed electronic systems for managing the torque delivery, and freshly introduced dual-valve dampers that are now in line with those in the refreshed Taycan, complete the modifications to the chassis.
During our initial test run of the 2025 Taycan, it delivered on its promises, maintaining the composure and stability at high speeds that distinguished this model as a top choice for long drives—now offering an increased practical driving distance. With the previous version of the E-Tron GT, the focus was on a comfortable ride for extended trips rather than the Taycan's precision, which is why it became our favored option for lengthy journeys.

The interior features newly styled seats, steering wheel, and door thresholds. Audi persists in employing its distinctive system for the E-Tron GT, which includes a digital dashboard displaying the battery's temperature, the highest achievable charging speed, an estimated full charge time, and the status of pre-heating or cooling.
The cost details and release schedule for the 2025 Audi E-Tron GT, set to be available in the U.S., will be disclosed in the future. It is anticipated that the manufacturing will continue at Audi's Böllinger Höfe plant in Germany.
