Pramac’s 2025 MotoGP Line-Up: Iannone a Possibility, Razgatlioglu Ruled Out as Team Prepares for Yamaha Switch
Pramac Yamaha's Owner Dismisses Toprak Rumors Completely
When questioned on the likelihood of Andrea Iannone or Toprak Razgatlioglu piloting Pramac's official Yamahas by 2025, the owner of Pramac firmly negated any possibility involving Toprak Razgatlioglu, stating a
Following the confirmation of Pramac's transition from Ducati to Yamaha in MotoGP, speculation is now focused on the riders who will helm the top-tier M1 bikes in the upcoming season.
Jorge Martin, presently with Pramac, will not be considered following his agreement with Aprilia, and his colleague Franco Morbidelli is deemed very unlikely to desire a comeback to the team he departed from last year.
This opens up possibilities for ex-Pramac competitor Jack Miller and the promising Italian Fabio di Giannantonio, but unexpectedly, speculation has also brought up Andrea Iannone and Toprak Razgatlioglu as possible contenders.
"Team proprietor Paolo Campinoti revealed to MotoGP.com that following their significant move [from Ducati to Yamaha], they haven't yet considered potential riders. He mentioned, 'In the coming weeks, we'll definitely make a decision. Our aim is to secure the most talented riders to ensure the success of this endeavor.'"
When specifically asked about the possibility of Andrea Iannone, a former Pramac racer who reignited his career in WorldSBK this season following a four-year suspension due to doping, making a surprising comeback to MotoGP, Campinoti stated:
"I have a close connection to him, but I don’t want to create any false impressions. If Yamaha agrees to let him test the bike, that would be great. However, it's not up to me to decide."
However, Campinoti dismissed the idea of current leader in the BMW WorldSBK championship, Razgatlioglu.
"I believe that's merely… Well, it's just rumors."
You believe that's unlikely to occur?
"Absolutely, without a doubt."
Last year, Razgatlioglu had two opportunities to try out the M1, yet he seemed to struggle with adapting to the bike, leading to his decision to move from Yamaha to BMW.
