Pramac Yamaha’s 2025 Line-Up: No Chance for Razgatlioglu, Iannone’s Return in Question
Toprak joining Pramac Yamaha? "Absolutely not."
The owner of Pramac was questioned about the likelihood of Andrea Iannone or Toprak Razgatlioglu taking the team's factory Yamaha bikes in 2025.
With Pramac's confirmed transition from Ducati to Yamaha in MotoGP, the focus has now shifted to speculating who will be riding the factory-spec M1 bikes in the upcoming season.
Pramac's current racer Jorge Martin is no longer a consideration after inking a contract with Aprilia. Meanwhile, his teammate Franco Morbidelli is considered very unlikely to be interested in rejoining the brand he departed at the end of last season.
This means that former Pramac rider Jack Miller and the young Italian Fabio di Giannantonio are among the possible contenders. Interestingly, rumors have also mentioned Andrea Iannone and Toprak Razgatlioglu.
"We have recently made a significant choice to switch from Ducati to Yamaha," team owner Paolo Campinoti shared with MotoGP.com. "We haven't considered riders yet, but we will make a decision in the coming weeks. Our aim is to secure the best riders available to ensure the success of this project."
When asked directly about the surprising possibility of former Pramac rider Andrea Iannone making a comeback to MotoGP, after he resumed his career in WorldSBK this season following a four-year suspension for doping, Campinoti responded:
"I have a personal connection with him, but I don't want to create any false impressions. If Yamaha decides to let him test the bike, I would be thrilled. However, the decision is not mine to make."
However, Campinoti dismissed the possibility of Razgatlioglu, the current leader in the BMW WorldSBK title race.
"In my opinion, that's just hearsay."
You don't believe that will occur?
“Absolutely, without a doubt.”
Razgatlioglu had two opportunities to test the M1 last year, but he didn't seem to find it to his liking and eventually switched from Yamaha to BMW.
