Pecco Bagnaia Battles Neck and Shoulder Pain After Aragon MotoGP Crash with Alex Marquez
Pecco Bagnaia Reports Significant Pain Following Aragon MotoGP Collision with Alex Marquez
Francesco Bagnaia has reported experiencing considerable pain in his neck and shoulder after his crash with Alex Marquez during the Aragon MotoGP event.
Francesco Bagnaia has provided an account of the injuries he sustained following his collision with Alex Marquez during the Aragon MotoGP last weekend.
During the 18th lap of the Grand Prix, Marquez veered off course at turn 12, leading to an encounter with Bagnaia. Initially starting in third position, Bagnaia fell to seventh due to a sluggish start but was steadily advancing through the field and appeared poised to claim the last podium spot from Marquez.
The Italian rider attempted to capitalize on Marquez's mistake at turn 12 a short distance later at turn 13. However, their collision resulted in both riders being forced out of the race.
Bagnaia experienced an uncomfortable tumble under Marquez's bike and subsequently visited the medical center.
In an interview with MotoGP.com following the Aragon race, Bagnaia mentioned that he was experiencing "neck pain," but he also noted that "things could be a lot worse, so it's manageable."

In an Instagram story where he detailed the incident, Bagnaia mentioned experiencing pain in his left shoulder.
"I seized the opportunity when Alex Marquez went wide to overtake him and approached the next corner with a wider line, aware of another rider nearby. Unfortunately, things didn't turn out well, making an already tough weekend even harder," Bagnaia said.
"Following yet another challenging beginning, caused by the difficult conditions at that position on the grid, I managed to stage an impressive recovery and was significantly faster. Currently, I'm experiencing considerable pain, particularly in my left shoulder, but it appears that nothing is broken."
"We will strive to be in top shape for Misano."
As the San Marino Grand Prix approaches this weekend, Bagnaia has a mere four days to regain his physical condition before practice kicks off for his local race. This scenario mirrors the one he faced last year when he suffered a crash at the Catalan Grand Prix and came to Misano nursing leg injuries.
Bagnaia secured third place in both the Sprint and Grand Prix events last year, despite sustaining injuries. However, the impact of his recent crash in Aragon on his performance in Misano will only become evident once practice sessions begin on Friday morning.
