**Paolo Pavesio to Succeed Lin Jarvis as Yamaha Motor Racing Managing Director in 2025**
Yamaha has announced that Paolo Pavesio will take over as managing director, succeeding Lin Jarvis in 2025.
Paolo Pavesio has been appointed to succeed Lin Jarvis at Yamaha.
On January 1, 2025, Pavesio will assume the role of managing director at Yamaha Motor Racing.
He formerly served as the Director of Marketing and Motorsport at Yamaha Motor Europe, where he reorganized the motorsport division, leading to subsequent world championships in World Superbikes, EWC, and MXGP.
Pavesio will take over from Jarvis, who has been the head of Yamaha for 26 years and is now stepping
Under Jarvis's leadership, Yamaha secured eight rider championships, six manufacturer championships, and seven team championships. He guided the Japanese company through its golden era with stars like Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo, and also celebrated their latest championship win with Fabio Quartararo.
Despite stepping down from his position as managing director, Jarvis will continue to serve as a Senior Advisor for Yamaha.
Takahiro Sumi, the General Manager of the Motor Sports Development Division, expressed gratitude to Lin for his 26 years of commitment and accomplishments, both on a personal level and on behalf of Yamaha.
"His dedication, hard work, and leadership have played a crucial role in Yamaha’s achievements in MotoGP, and I am pleased that we will continue to benefit from his expertise and experience in the future."
Paolo Pavesio will take over the position of Managing Director from Lin. Pavesio comes with extensive experience from his time at YME, where he led Yamaha teams to World Championship victories in WorldSBK, EWC, and MXGP as the Marketing and Motorsport Director.
"I am eager to have Paolo join YMR in January. With him at the helm, I believe Yamaha has the potential to achieve the MotoGP success we are all aiming for."
