The latest Hyundai Tucson Plug-in-Hybrid can now be purchased at a more affordable starting price due to the introduction of a new, less expensive front-wheel drive option. This change means prices in Germany will begin at €44,690, which is a saving of approximately €5,200 compared to the all-wheel-drive PHEV.
The Tucson Plug-in Hybrid consistently features a six-speed automatic transmission. It delivers a total system power of 185 kW (252 hp), and when operating solely on electric power, the 13.8 kWh battery can cover a distance of up to 71 kilometers.

The vehicle’s battery can be charged at a rate of up to 7.2 kW using the on-board charging system, enabling a charge from ten to a full 100 percent in roughly an hour and forty-five minutes. When plugged into a standard 230-volt home outlet, the charging process takes approximately six hours and thirty minutes.
Hyundai's all-wheel-drive model is available in three different trim levels. Additionally, for those preferring front-wheel drive, there's the base Select model starting at €44,690. This model comes equipped with full LED headlights, dual 12.3-inch panoramic curved displays, a navigation system featuring Bluelink connectivity, over-the-air update capability, as well as wireless integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also includes a smart key system with a push start/stop button, dual-zone automatic climate control, and parking assistance with both front and rear sensors, along with a rearview camera.
The Design Package offers a variety of visual enhancements for the Select trim level. These include a dark-themed Hyundai badge, radiator grille, and LED daytime running lights, as well as LED taillights that increase safety.

There's also the option to add a KRELL audio system and the newly introduced Matrix LED headlights.
The Prime trim level, which starts at 51,950 euros, offers an upgrade from the Trend level with features such as 19-inch alloy wheels, a three-zone automatic climate control, leather seats with power adjustments and ventilation for the front seats, a memory setting for the driver's seat and side mirrors, heated seating for the outer second-row seats, the latest head-up display, a sensor-based occupant alert, a KRELL audio system, and matrix LED headlights.
The N Line equipment package, starting at 51,950 Euros, also builds upon the Trend model features and includes unique N Line 19-inch alloy wheels, triple-zone automatic climate control, a head-up display, a sensor-based occupant alert, the KRELL audio system, and Matrix LED headlights.

Adding to the aesthetic, both inside and out, are athletic touches: The N Line boasts sports seats with red stitching for comfort, a sports steering wheel, pedals with an aluminum look, wheel arches, and side moldings painted to match the car's color, exterior mirrors in black, and a black roof lining, along with red interior accents.
