Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge Boosts Buyer Confidence with Extended 5-Year Manufacturer Warranty
Volkswagen's Commercial Vehicles division is extending its manufacturer warranty to five years. This extension applies to vehicles that have already been ordered in advance. In Germany, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWN) is increasing the warranty period from the previous two years to five years. This five-year manufacturer's warranty will be applicable to all VWN models, including the Caddy, ID. Buzz, Multivan, Amarok, the new Transporter, the Crafter, and all California models, for orders placed starting from October 1, 2024.
The newly introduced models, the New Transporter and the New California, come with a five-year warranty that extends to vehicles pre-ordered prior to their release.
Lars Krause, the brand executive for sales and marketing at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in Hanover, expressed his delight at the successful implementation of a significant benefit for customers. He emphasized that the introduction of a five-year warranty provides long-term assurance to their clientele. Krause firmly believes that this initiative will significantly enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty in their service department, while also greatly reinforcing confidence in the quality of their products.

Volkswagen's commercial vehicle division is offering a complimentary manufacturer's warranty of up to five years for all new vehicles, whether they're passenger cars, motorhomes, or commercial vehicles. This warranty applies to vehicles ordered from the factory in Germany starting on October 1, 2024. During the first two years, there's no limit on the mileage for the warranty. The coverage will conclude after 5 years or once the vehicle reaches a total of 150,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
In addition to new orders, all existing orders placed since the pre-sale began for the New Transporter and New California are included. Speaking of the new Transporter, which is based on the Ford Transit/Tourneo Custom and is being produced in Turkey, it is expected to launch in Germany at the beginning of 2025.
