**”MotoGP Drama at Aragon: Binder’s Rolling Burnout and Miller Nipped by Rins”**
Brad Binder exclaimed, "I ended up doing a rolling burnout once more!" Meanwhile, Jack Miller commented about being overtaken by Rins. Binder also shared, "I devised a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning out at the start…"
Brad Binder achieved his best MotoGP weekend performance since the season started in Qatar, securing 4th and 6th place finishes at the Aragon race.
This occurred even though he spun out in both races, although his seventh-place finish came from the better side of a messy starting grid.
During the middle phase of the race, Binder trailed behind newcomer Pedro Acosta. This pursuit turned into a fight for third place when Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta remained slightly beyond grasp.
“I had a solid strategy last night to avoid losing traction at the start, and I ended up doing a rolling burnout just like I did yesterday!" Binder said with a smile.
"I was able to navigate through and overtake several competitors. It was challenging to avoid errors since the front tire was overheating while following others until the final part of the race."
"I attempted to gain some time by accelerating out of the corners since I couldn't enter them quickly due to the front tires overheating. However, this strategy backfired in the end as the left side of the tire wore out completely."
"I gave it my all to overtake Pedro, but there was no room left from behind!"
"Aside from that, we took some very positive strides this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective over the course of the race."
Jack Miller, his team-mate, had a powerful start, advancing from 15th place on the grid to 8th by the conclusion of the first lap. However, it wasn't long before the Australian encountered difficulties with rear traction.
He lost ninth place to Alex Rins on the final lap and was subsequently one of three riders penalized with a 16-second post-race penalty for tire pressure, which relegated him to 15th position.
"A lengthy race," commented Miller. "The track conditions were different once more; it has been dirty for most of the weekend, but today it appeared to be more slippery."
"I gave it my all. The [medium] rear tire was challenging to manage, and I experienced a significant highside incident while exiting the final turn."
"I found my pace and focused on maintaining it carefully. There were several challenges when transitioning from the edge to the center of the tire… but I managed to finish successfully."
"I didn't make any errors during the race, but I found it difficult to keep up with the guys ahead. We'll continue to push forward."
Pleased to finish in the top ten, though I was overtaken by Rins on the final lap's back straight. I tried my best to be accurate, but unfortunately, I didn't accelerate well and he managed to pass me.
"We'll return to Misano again."
Test rider Pol Espargaro will join the KTM team as a wild-card entry this weekend, increasing their total number of riders to five.
“Next, we head to Misano, keeping in mind both the upcoming test and Pol’s wildcard entry, which should provide us with some valuable insights for the future,” stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The inaugural Misano MotoGP race will kick off with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, with Acosta currently in fifth place in the world championship standings.
Miller, who might be formally announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider at the team's home races in Italy, currently sits 15th in the standings, trailing Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo by three points.
