**MotoGP Aragon Drama: Binder’s Burnout Battles and Miller’s Last-Lap Heartbreak**
Brad Binder exclaimed, "I ended up doing another rolling burnout!" Meanwhile, Jack Miller mentioned, "I got overtaken by Rins." Reflecting on his race strategy, Binder added, "I devised an excellent plan last night to avoid spinning my wheels at the start…"
Brad Binder had his best MotoGP weekend since the season began in Qatar, achieving 4th and 6th place finishes at Aragon.
Though he veered off course in both races, he still managed to secure seventh place, which was the best position on a grid that was otherwise quite chaotic.
Binder trailed rookie Pedro Acosta during the middle laps, turning into a contest for third place when Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta remained just beyond grasp.
“I came up with a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning out at the start, and just like yesterday, I did a rolling burnout again!" Binder smiled.
"I was able to navigate through and overtake several riders. It was challenging to avoid errors since the front tire was overheating while following others up until the final part of the race."
"I attempted to gain time when exiting corners since I couldn't enter them quickly due to the front tires overheating. However, this strategy backfired, and by the end, the left side of the tire was completely worn out."
“I gave it my all to overtake Pedro, but there was no more power from behind!”
"Aside from that, we made significant progress this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective across the race distance."
Jack Miller, who started in 15th position, made an impressive start and moved up to eighth place by the end of the first lap. However, the Australian rider quickly faced challenges with maintaining rear grip.
After being overtaken by Alex Rins in the final lap and losing the ninth position, he, along with two other riders, was penalized with a 16-second post-race penalty for tyre pressure violations, which relegated him to 15th place.
“It was a lengthy race,” remarked Miller. “The track conditions changed once more; it’s been quite dirty throughout the weekend, but today it felt even more slippery."
"I gave it my all. Controlling the [medium] rear tire was difficult, and I experienced a major highside incident while exiting the final turn."
“I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. Shifting from the edge to the center of the tire posed several challenges… but I managed to finish successfully."
"I made no errors during the race, but I found it challenging to keep up with the guys ahead. We'll continue to persevere."
Pleased to finish in the top ten, but Rins overtook me on the final lap's back straight. I tried to be as accurate as possible, but a poor drive allowed him to pass me.
“We will return to Misano.”
Test rider Pol Espargaro participating as a wild-card entry will increase KTM's presence to five riders this weekend.
“Now head to Misano, keeping in mind the subsequent test and Pol’s wildcard, which will be beneficial for us moving forward,” stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The inaugural Misano MotoGP race will kick off with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, with Acosta currently sitting in fifth place in the world championship standings.
Miller, who may soon be announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider during the team's races in Italy, is currently in 15th place, just three points behind Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo.
