Marco Bezzecchi Set for Monumental Move to Aprilia in 2025 as VR46 Rider Secures Factory Seat
Marco Bezzecchi Expected to Join Aprilia in 2025
Aprilia Likely to Sign VR46's Marco Bezzecchi
According to sources, Marco Bezzecchi is expected to join Aprilia in the coming year.
Sky Italia initially broke the news that Bezzecchi has been chosen to occupy the second factory seat at Aprilia.
The Italian producer is set to introduce a refreshed pairing following the significant acquisition of Jorge Martin, who did not secure his favored move to the Ducati works team.
Aprilia's existing riders are set to leave following the conclusion of this season.
Aleix Espargaro has announced his retirement, while Maverick Vinales is set to join Tech3 KTM.
The inclusion of Bezzecchi from VR46 would fulfill Aprilia's openly stated wish for an Italian rider.
Aprilia had earlier named Enea Bastianini as a potential rider, but he has now inked a deal with Tech3 KTM.
Bezzecchi appears poised for his inaugural factory position in MotoGP.
Bezzecchi experienced a significant breakout season last year, claiming his inaugural grand prix victory and contending for the championship title until an injury curtailed his aspirations.
This year, however, he's encountered more difficulties adjusting to the GP23 model.
Bezzecchi has confirmed that a competing brand has shown interest in his intentions for 2025.
"Currently, I'm definitely considering my options, but given my current challenges, I'm not overly focused on what lies ahead," he expressed.
"I'm focusing on the now."
