Leclerc surges to the lead of the pack now on soft tires – just 0.006 seconds separate Leclerc and Perez.
Leclerc delivers a clean lap, maintaining his pace on medium tires, and moves up to seventh place driving the Ferrari.
Following his grievances about his car being "warped", Leclerc reenters the circuit on medium tires.
He advances to 14th position, trailing Perez's leading soft tire time by 1.3 seconds.
He now posts a time of 1 minute 43.490 seconds, moving ahead of Sainz by 0.460 seconds.
Sainz, Piastri, Verstappen, Hamilton, Perez, Bearman, Tsunoda, Alonso, Albon, and Bottas.
Sainz achieved a time of 1 minute and 43.950 seconds on soft tires, widening his lead to 0.4 seconds.
The initial 10 minutes of the second free practice session have concluded, with Lewis making his rounds on the circuit equipped with Hard tyres. Meanwhile, George's vehicle remains in the pit due to a preemptive change of the Power Unit. The team is optimistic about getting him back on track by the midpoint of the session.

The Ferrari racer clocked in at 1 minute and 44.323 seconds, outpacing Perez, who came in second, by 0.275 seconds.
Verstappen narrowly avoids a collision with the barrier, managing to bring his car to a halt just in time.
Currently, he's racing with the hard tires. The athlete, who has clinched the world title seven times, is currently 0.396 seconds slower than Perez.
Verstappen bettered his time to 1 minute and 45.052 seconds, trailing Perez's leading time by 0.4 seconds. A solid beginning for the Mexican driver.
Leclerc indicates there's an issue with his car, mentioning something is "out of shape," and proceeds to enter the pit lane.
"I believe there's an issue with the car. From one side to the other, there's a noticeable difference in firmness, particularly when it comes to consistent responses."
He secures a lead of almost 1.0 second ahead of Verstappen on the leaderboard.
Verstappen has secured the leading position by clocking in at 1 minute and 45.563 seconds, putting him 0.3 seconds ahead of everyone else.
Perez is currently having an impressive lap.
Leclerc clocks in at 1 minute 45.812 seconds, narrowly outpacing Sainz by less than a tenth of a second. Piastri rounds out the leading trio.
The weekend's second training session begins in Baku.
Following his accident during the first practice session, Ferrari has fixed Leclerc's vehicle, and he is all set to continue.
