Jack Miller Eyes Gresini Seat Amid Strong Ducati Ties: Navigating MotoGP’s 2025 Season Shuffle
Jack Miller potentially joining Gresini? He mentions a "positive connection" with Ducati, emphasizing the importance of "maintaining good ties."
Jack Miller states, “We maintain a strong bond with Gigi, Claudio, and the entire team at Ducati…”
Despite being unexpectedly left without a spot on KTM's MotoGP team, Jack Miller remains optimistic about having 'several appealing choices' for the 2025 racing season.
On Thursday, an Australian source revealed that KTM abruptly shifted its stance from retaining him within its ranks to leaving him without a seat, following the signing of Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales for the previously open Tech3 positions.
Yet, he maintains optimism about securing a spot on the grid for the upcoming year.
"There are several promising choices available, and currently, we're focusing on figuring out the optimal path for me moving forward," the ex-Honda and Ducati competitor shared with MotoGP.com.
"Luckily, I've maintained strong connections throughout the paddock. Therefore, we're in discussions with those holding available spots, evaluating our choices."
When asked about the speculation surrounding his potential move to Gresini to fill Marc Marquez's spot and his current terms with Ducati, the team he departed from at the close of 2022, Miller responded:
"Remarkable. It serves as a valuable lesson for the younger generation: avoid severing ties when departing from any situation, as you can't predict when you might rely on others again."
"We have a strong rapport with Gigi [Dall’Igna], Claudio [Domenicali], and everyone at Ducati. The Ducati fanbase also provides great support for me."
Miller competed with LCR Honda, Marc VDS Honda, and Pramac Ducati, as well as Ducati Lenovo, prior to his move to Red Bull KTM in 2023.
He secured his initial MotoGP win riding for Honda, followed by another trio of victories with Ducati.
