Research indicates that Tesla’s once-dominant Supercharger system is now on par with competing public charging networks. Certain models of the Nissan Ariya are being recalled due to a traditional oil leak issue. Additionally, the Chevrolet Blazer EV has seen a reduction in its starting price. Chevrolet has reduced the starting prices of the 2025 Blazer EV LT and RS models. However, there's a caveat: some of the features that were standard in previous models will now be optional extras. Furthermore, more affordable front-wheel-drive LT models and the high-performance SS variant are expected to join the range soon.
Recent findings from a J.D. Power survey indicate that the dominance of Tesla's Supercharger network may be diminishing. This shift comes even before Tesla implemented widespread reductions in this area. The survey doesn't suggest a decline in the quality of Tesla's network; rather, it highlights that competing charging networks are improving and closing the gap in user satisfaction.
A limited recall has been issued for the Nissan Ariya EV due to a rare issue for electric vehicles: an oil leak. This problem stems from a defect in manufacturing that could cause oil to leak in the drive motors, possibly resulting in increased wear. Nissan has committed to replacing the entire drive-motor assembly in the 84 vehicles impacted by this recall.
