**Ducati Refutes Pramac’s Claim of Abandoning Young Rider Development Amid MotoGP Shake-Up**
Ducati responds to Pramac's assertion that the "young riders project" has been abandoned
"Our approach remains the same"
Ducati has refuted the statement made by the head of Pramac, asserting that they have not abandoned their strategy of advancing young riders.
During the Dutch MotoGP, Pramac revealed that they would end their 20-year partnership with Ducati and transition to being a satellite team for Yamaha next season.
“They have faith in the initiative involving young riders, a belief that Ducati appears to have lost,” Pramac owner Paolo Campinoti stated to TNT Sports.
The statement clearly pointed to Ducati's choice of Marc Marquez for their official 2025 team, which meant passing over Jorge Martin and Enea Bastianini.
Ducati's general manager, Gigi Dall’Igna, has spoken to Sky Italia, expressing gratitude: "I would like to start by thanking Pramac and Paolo for the many years we've worked together and the wonderful achievements we've accomplished."
"Ducati's growth can be attributed to their involvement, as we have collaborated with them to enhance our motorcycle and nurture the skills of our riders."
“They have undoubtedly accomplished significant work, and we regret losing such a valuable and admirable presence, both professionally and personally.
"Regrettably, despite our hopes, the global sentiment was against us retaining a team for the next year, and ultimately, we lost it."
“Our philosophy remains the same; we still prioritize focusing on young talent. This is evident in our recent signing of Fermin Aldeguer, in whom we have high hopes.”
"We aim to treat him in the same manner as we have treated Pecco, Enea, and Martin."
“It’s evident that we will be partnering with a different team instead of Pramac.”
"We'll now operate with three teams instead of four; we must continue and adapt to this change."
Teenage Moto2 sensation Aldeguer has secured a deal to move up to MotoGP next year with Ducati.
It was initially believed that he would be heading to Pramac, but that is no longer true because they have chosen to partner with Yamaha instead.
Alternatively, Aldeguer should be assigned to either the Gresini or VR46 teams.
Ducati needs to determine the fate of the factory motorcycles currently assigned to Pramac riders Martin and Franco Morbidelli for this season.
