Bagnaia and Marquez were seen angrily signaling to each other in the gravel following the incident, but initially, it appeared they had dodged serious harm.
Marquez drifted off course while trying to hold onto third place, with only six laps left.
Starting in fourth place, Bagnaia attempted a pass.
Bagnaia's Ducati appeared to be closely trailing right behind Marquez's.
The two bicycles became entangled as they veered off the path.
For a few moments, Bagnaia found himself trapped beneath Marquez's Ducati during their slide.
However, he stood up and motioned towards Marquez, indicating that he was alright.
He left with his leather attire ripped and scratched on his arm, seemingly lucky that the harm wasn't more severe.
Bagnaia underwent a medical evaluation at the health center.
Less than half an hour after their mishap, Bagnaia and Marquez were seen strolling through the paddock area, not wearing their racing suits, and appearing to be without injuries.
Stewards are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Defending MotoGP titleholder Bagnaia approached Sunday's race sitting just three points behind the current championship front-runner, Jorge Martin.
Martin's second-place finish at the Aragon MotoGP on Sunday has propelled him into the championship lead, now holding a 23-point advantage.
Marc Marquez emerged as the victor in the race.
