**Brad Binder’s Rolling Burnout and Jack Miller’s Last-Lap Heartbreak Highlight Aragon MotoGP Drama**
Brad Binder exclaimed, "I experienced another rolling burnout!" Meanwhile, Jack Miller commented on being overtaken by Rins. Binder continued, "I had a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning at the start…"
Brad Binder had his best MotoGP performance since the Qatar season opener, finishing in 4th and 6th place at Aragon.
This occurred even though he spun out at the start of both races, and despite that, his seventh-place finish was achieved from the more favorable side of a less-than-ideal starting position.
During the middle part of the race, Binder was trailing rookie Pedro Acosta. This competition for third place emerged after Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta remained just beyond grasp.
"I had an excellent strategy last night to avoid losing traction at the start, and I performed a rolling burnout just like I did the previous day!" Binder smiled.
"I navigated my way through and overtook several competitors. Avoiding errors was challenging since the front tire was overheating while following others, especially until the final part of the race."
"I attempted to gain time by accelerating out of the corners since I couldn't approach them quickly due to the front tires overheating. However, this strategy backfired in the end, as the left side of the tire was completely worn out."
"I did everything I could to overtake Pedro, but there was no room left behind him!"
“We took several positive strides this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective throughout the race.”
Fellow team member Jack Miller had a strong start, moving up from 15th place on the grid to eighth by the conclusion of the first lap. However, the Australian rider quickly encountered difficulties with rear tire traction.
Following a last-lap battle where Alex Rins overtook him for ninth place, he was subsequently one of three riders penalized with a 16-second post-race penalty for tyre pressure violations, which ultimately pushed him back to 15th position.
"That was quite a lengthy race," Miller commented. "The track conditions have varied once more; it has been mostly dirty throughout the weekend, but today it felt even more slippery."
“I gave it my all. It was challenging to manage the [medium] rear tire, and I experienced a significant highside incident while exiting the final turn.
"I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges transitioning from the outer edge to the center of the tire… but I managed to finish successfully."
"I didn't make any errors during the race, but I had difficulty keeping up with the guys ahead. We'll continue to persist."
"Pleased to finish in the top ten, though Rins edged me out on the back straight in the final lap. I was trying to be as accurate as possible, but I didn't get a good acceleration and he managed to overtake me on the back stretch."
“We will return to Misano once more.”
Pol Espargaro, participating as a test rider, will increase KTM's count to five riders this weekend.
"Next, head to Misano, keeping in mind the upcoming test and Pol's wildcard entry, which will be beneficial for us moving forward," stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial Misano MotoGP event will commence with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, the latter currently occupying fifth place in the world championship standings.
Miller may be formally announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider during the team's upcoming Italian races. He is currently in 15th place, trailing Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo by three points.
