**”Binder’s Rolling Burnout and Miller’s Near Miss: Highs and Lows at Aragon MotoGP”**
Brad Binder exclaimed, “I ended up doing another rolling burnout!”, while Jack Miller mentioned being "overtaken by Rins."
Brad Binder shared, "I had a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning out at the start…"
Brad Binder had his most successful MotoGP weekend since the first race in Qatar, finishing in 4th and 6th place at Aragon.
This occurred even though he veered off the track during both races, and his seventh-place finish was on the more favorable side of a cluttered starting lineup.
During the middle portion of the race, Binder positioned himself behind newcomer Pedro Acosta. This developed into a contention for third place after Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta managed to stay just beyond reach.
"I came up with a solid strategy last night to avoid losing control at the start, and I managed to execute a rolling burnout just like I did the previous day!" Binder said with a smile.
"I carefully navigated through and overtook several riders. It was challenging to avoid errors since the front tire was overheating from following others until the final part of the race."
"I attempted to gain time by accelerating out of the corners since entering them quickly was not an option due to the front tire overheating. However, this strategy backfired as the left side of the tire wore out completely by the end."
“I put in my utmost effort to overtake Pedro, but there was no traction left from the back!”
"Besides that, we took some pretty encouraging strides this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective throughout the race."
Fellow racer Jack Miller had a powerful start, moving from 15th place on the grid to eighth by the conclusion of the first lap. However, the Australian quickly faced challenges with maintaining rear tire grip.
Following a last-lap overtake by Alex Rins, which pushed him to tenth place, he then faced a 16-second post-race penalty for tire pressure violations, resulting in a final position of 15th.
"It was quite a lengthy race," mentioned Miller. "The track conditions varied once more; it has been quite dirty throughout the weekend, but today it felt more slippery."
"I gave it my all. It was challenging to manage the [medium] rear tire, and I experienced a significant highside incident as I exited the final turn."
"I found my pace and focused on managing it. There were several challenges when moving from the tire's edge to its center… but I managed to finish successfully."
"I didn't make any errors during the race, but I had a hard time keeping up with the guys ahead of me. We'll keep pushing forward."
"Thrilled to finish in the top ten, but Rins overtook me on the back straight during the last lap. I was trying my best to be accurate, but a poor drive allowed him to pass me."
“We will return to Misano.”
This weekend, the addition of test rider Pol Espargaro as a wild-card entry will increase KTM's lineup to five riders.
“Next, we’ll head to Misano with an eye on the subsequent test session and Pol’s wildcard entry, which should provide us with valuable insights for the future,” stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial Misano MotoGP race will commence with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, placing Acosta in fifth position in the world championship standings.
Miller might be formally announced as a rider for Pramac Yamaha during the team's home races in Italy. He currently stands in 15th place, trailing Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo by three points.
