**”Binder’s Burnout Brilliance and Miller’s Last-Lap Drama: Aragon MotoGP Recap”**
Brad Binder: “I did another rolling burnout again!” Jack Miller: “Rins just edged me out.”
Brad Binder: “I had a solid strategy last night to avoid spinning out at the start…”
Brad Binder had his best MotoGP weekend since the season began in Qatar, achieving 4th and 6th place finishes at the Aragon race.
This occurred despite him slipping at the start in both races, although his seventh-place finish came from a cleaner section of a messy starting grid.
During the middle part of the race, Binder trailed behind rookie Pedro Acosta. This duel turned into a contest for third place after Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta stayed just beyond grasp.
Binder smiled and said, "Last night, I came up with a solid strategy to avoid losing control at the start, and I managed to pull off another rolling burnout just like I did yesterday!"
"I was able to navigate through and overtake several competitors. It was challenging to avoid errors since the front tire was overheating while trailing others until the final part of the race."
"I attempted to gain time coming out of the corners since I couldn't enter them too quickly due to the front tire overheating. However, this strategy backfired, and by the end, the left side of the tire was completely worn out."
"I gave it my all to overtake Pedro, but there was no room left behind!"
"Beyond that, we took some very encouraging strides this weekend. We experimented with adjusting the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective throughout the race."
Jack Miller, who started 15th on the grid, had a strong start and moved up to eighth place by the end of the first lap. However, the Australian rider soon encountered difficulties with maintaining rear grip.
After finishing behind Alex Rins in ninth place on the final lap, he and two other riders were penalized with a 16-second post-race penalty for tire pressure violations, which ultimately relegated him to 15th place.
“It was a lengthy race,” Miller remarked. “The track conditions varied once more. It has been quite dirty for most of the weekend, but today it felt more slippery.”
"I put in my maximum effort. It was challenging to manage the [medium] rear tire, and I experienced a significant highside incident when exiting the final corner."
"I found my pace and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges when transitioning from the edge to the center of the tire, but I managed to finish successfully."
"I didn't make any errors during the race, but I had a hard time keeping up with the guys ahead of me. We'll continue to work hard."
"I’m pleased to finish in the top ten, but Rins overtook me on the final lap’s back straight. I tried my best to stay accurate, but a poor drive allowed him to pass me."
“We’ll return to Misano in the future.”
Test rider Pol Espargaro will join the KTM team as a wild-card entry, increasing their total participants to five for the weekend.
"Next, we head to Misano with an eye on the subsequent test and Pol's wildcard entry, which should provide us with some valuable insights for the future," stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial race of the Misano MotoGP series will commence with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, the latter currently occupying fifth place in the world championship standings.
Miller, who might be formally announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider at the team's home races in Italy, is currently in 15th place and just three points behind Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo.
