**”Binder Battles Burnouts and Miller’s Misfortune: Thrilling Aragon MotoGP Recap”**
Brad Binder exclaimed, “I ended up doing another rolling burnout!” Meanwhile, Jack Miller commented that he was “nipped by Rins.” Binder reflected on his strategy, saying, “I had a solid plan last night to avoid spinning out at the start…”
Brad Binder achieved his best MotoGP results since the first race of the season in Qatar, securing fourth and sixth place finishes at the Aragon round.
This occurred even though he spun out in both races, and his seventh-place finish came from the cleaner section of a messy starting grid.
During the middle of the race, Binder was trailing rookie Pedro Acosta. This pursuit turned into a contest for third place after Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia collided with 5 laps remaining.
However, Acosta managed to stay beyond grasp.
“I had a fantastic strategy last night to avoid losing control at the start, and I managed to do another rolling burnout like I did yesterday!” Binder smiled.
"I was able to navigate through and overtake a few competitors. It was challenging to avoid errors, as the front tire was overheating while following others until the final part of the race."
"I attempted to gain some time by accelerating out of the corners, as I couldn't enter them quickly due to the front tire overheating. However, this strategy backfired, and ultimately, the left side of the tire was completely worn out."
"I did everything I could to overtake Pedro, but my car had no power left in the back!"
"Aside from that, we took several promising strides this weekend. We experimented with the bike's balance, and it appeared to be effective over the duration of the race."
Fellow competitor Jack Miller had a powerful start, advancing from 15th position on the grid to 8th place by the conclusion of the first lap. However, the Australian rider quickly faced issues with maintaining rear traction.
Following a last-lap battle where he lost ninth place to Alex Rins, he was one of three riders penalized with a 16-second post-race penalty for tyre pressure violations, which pushed him down to 15th position.
"It was a lengthy race," Miller commented. "The track conditions varied once more; it has been dirty for most of the weekend, but today it felt particularly slippery."
"I gave it my all. It was challenging to manage the [medium] rear tire, and I experienced a significant highside incident while exiting the final corner."
“I found my groove and focused on maintaining it. There were several challenges moving from the tire's edge to its center… but I managed to finish successfully."
“There were no errors during the race, but I had difficulty keeping up with the guys ahead of me. We’ll continue to persevere.”
Pleased to finish in the top ten, but Rins overtook me on the back straight during the final lap. I was trying my best to be precise, but I didn't get a good acceleration and he managed to pass me.
“We’ll return to Misano.”
KTM will have a total of five riders this weekend, with test rider Pol Espargaro joining as a wild-card entry.
“Next, we’ll head to Misano, where we’ll also focus on the upcoming test and benefit from Pol’s wildcard entry, which will be advantageous for us moving forward,” stated team manager Francesco Guidotti.
The initial Misano MotoGP race will commence with Binder trailing Acosta by three points, as Acosta currently ranks fifth in the world championship standings.
Miller, who might be formally announced as a Pramac Yamaha rider during the team's home races in Italy, is currently in 15th place, only three points behind Monster Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo.
