Aiming for an impeccable beginning, Francesco Bagnaia, starting from pole position, successfully maintained his lead.
Jorge Martin maintained his second-place position while Alex Marquez advanced past Maverick Vinales to secure third place.
Tragedy befell Marc Marquez when, after taking a tumble at the conclusion of Q2, he failed to maintain control due to excessively cutting into the inside kerb at turn two [lap two].
Marquez couldn't return to the race because his GP23 was excessively damaged.
As Bagnaia and Martin surged ahead, Vinales executed a critical maneuver on Alex Marquez at the last chicane, securing third place.
Vinales was closing in on the leading pair, but the lap speeds were extremely close, posing a challenge for the Aprilia racer to create a significant difference.
Alex Rins followed Marc Marquez in exiting the sprint race due to a crash on the ninth lap, while ahead, Bagnaia had extended his advantage to more than one second.
Earlier on, Enea Bastianini was advancing notably as he passed Binder and A. Marquez to take the fourth position on the ninth lap.
In the race for fifth place, Alex Marquez received a Long Lap penalty for going beyond the boundaries of the track.
In the closing moments of the race, Aleix Espargaro experienced a severe accident in the last sector, as Bagnaia crossed the finish line ahead of Martin and Vinales with a significant lead.
