**”Bagnaia Secures Pole as Martin’s Penalty Shakes Up Dutch MotoGP Starting Grid at Assen”**
Revised starting lineup for the Dutch MotoGP at Assen following Jorge Martin's penalty
Jorge Martin's three-position grid penalty has altered the starting order for the Dutch MotoGP.
Francesco Bagnaia secured the pole position at Assen after dominating all the practice sessions leading up to the event.
The current world champion clinched pole position, outpacing title contender Jorge Martin and Aprilia’s Maverick Vinales.
Martin received a three-place grid penalty for riding too slowly on the racing line during Q2, which dropped him from second to fifth on the starting grid.
Maverick Vinales, Alex Marquez, and Aleix Espargaro each advanced a position due to Martin's penalty.
Following a dispute for track position during the Q2 session, Marc Marquez experienced a late crash while attempting to pass Aleix Espargaro, ultimately ending up in seventh place.
Espargaro, who was forced to sit up when Marquez attempted an overtake at turn seven, managed to improve on his subsequent lap, securing fifth place.
At the beginning of the second row is Alex Marquez, with Fabio Di Giannantonio positioned between Espargaro and M. Marquez, who is in sixth place.
