This practice is particularly noticeable in the Asia-Pacific region, as revealed by a study conducted across 44 sectors in 72 nations, which was published in the Global Business and Travel Association's 2023 Business Travel Index Outlook. The research found that 42 percent of business travellers in this area – a ratio considerably higher than in other global regions – extended their work trips with leisure days, often staying in their original accommodation. This trend is anticipated to persist as changes in work habits and preferences align with the desire for a more balanced work-life equilibrium.

"Enrich" puts a strong focus on beauty, comfort, and ease within the hotels' dining areas, lounges, rooms, and suites. Visitors can anticipate exceptional dining experiences, including partnerships with well-known culinary professionals, and food options that cater to themed activities. Savvy, a contemporary restaurant that transitions from day to night, serves Italian-inspired shared dishes and local cuisine, making it a crucial component of this focus. It also complements existing culinary landmarks such as the acclaimed Italian restaurant, Cucina, located in Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel, and Lotus Court in Marco Polo Xiamen Hotel, known for its Cantonese and regional dishes.
