Tragic Morning: Bus Crash Kills 11, Including Children and Parents, Outside Eastern China School
In eastern China, a tragic incident occurred outside a school when a bus plowed into a crowd, resulting in the deaths of 5 children and 6 adults. Following the crash, which left several more injured, authorities have detained the bus driver. This accident took place shortly after national outlets had publicized new safety protocols intended to protect students.
On Tuesday morning, a bus collided with a group of people outside a middle school in eastern China, resulting in 11 fatalities and 24 injuries.
State-run CCTV reported that the accident took place at approximately 7 a.m. outside Foshan Junior High School in Dongping County, Shandong Province, on the second day of the school year.
According to the report, the injured were transported to the hospital.
According to Dongping police, the tragic incident resulted in the deaths of six parents and five students. Additionally, one individual sustained severe injuries, whereas twelve others are reported to be in stable condition. The status of the remaining victims has not been disclosed.
According to police, the vehicle involved was a school bus tasked with transporting students. It veered off course while nearing an intersection and collided with a group of people. Authorities have taken the driver into custody and are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
