Tragedy in Eastern China: Bus Crash Kills 11, Including Students and Parents, Outside School
Five children and six adults have died in eastern China when a bus plowed into a crowd outside a school. Following the incident that also left many injured, the bus driver has been taken into custody by the police. This tragic event occurred shortly after state media reported on new initiatives aimed at ensuring the safety of students.
On Tuesday morning, a bus plowed into a group of people outside a middle school in eastern China, resulting in the deaths of 11 individuals and injuries to 24 others.
According to the state-run CCTV, the incident took place at about 7 AM in front of Foshan Junior High School located in Dongping County, Shandong Province, on the second day of the new academic year.
According to the report, those injured were transported to the hospital.
According to the Dongping police, the tragic incident resulted in the deaths of six parents and five students. Additionally, one individual sustained severe injuries, while twelve others are reported to be in stable condition. The status of the remaining victims has not been disclosed.
Authorities reported that a school bus, which was used to transport students, lost control as it neared an intersection and collided with a group of people. The driver has been taken into custody and the incident is currently under investigation.
