Renault Rafale E-Tech 4×4 300: Das neue PHEV Kraftpaket mit 300 PS und Alpine-Flair ab Herbst 2024
The Renault Rafale set to release in 2024 introduces a powerful plug-in hybrid variant with 300 horsepower. Scheduled for release this fall, the flagship model will be available in two distinct editions, "Esprit Alpine" and "Atelier Alpine"…
Renault had previously hinted at this model, so the unveiling of the new Rafale E-Tech 4×4 300 isn’t entirely unexpected. This latest iteration is the most potent version of the mid-size SUV coupe to date, boasting a plug-in hybrid engine with 300 horsepower. Truly splendid.
Turning our attention to the powertrain, we find a synergistic operation between a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 150 horsepower and a trio of electric motors. One electric motor is positioned at the rear axle, another at the front, and the third one functions as a starter-generator integrated within the so-called multi-mode automatic transmission. Additionally, a 22-kWh battery is included, which the manufacturer claims can provide an electric range of up to 100 km.

Equipped with a 300 horsepower engine, the high-performance Rafale can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds. In comparison, the model with a 200 horsepower engine takes an additional 2.5 seconds to complete the same acceleration. The battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 2 hours and 10 minutes using the 7.4 kW onboard charger.
In addition to updates in the powertrain, Renault's SUV coupe introduces modifications to the suspension setup, featuring a new adaptive suspension system that, in conjunction with a forward-facing camera, automatically adjusts to the terrain and driving style.
Additionally, the vehicle offers a selection of drive modes that can be manipulated via the infotainment screen to modify the driving preferences of the 4Control Advanced system (which governs the steering of both axles): these include "Comfort," "Dynamic," and "Sport."
More from Renault:
Visually, the Renault Rafale E-Tech 4×4 300 stands out from the rest of the model range only in minor features. Noteworthy differences include the 21-inch alloy wheels and the rear spoiler, which offers a contrasting color to the bodywork.
The interior of this Rafale maintains a sporty appearance while still offering comfort. It includes unique floor mats in Alpine's signature blue color. Additionally, there's an updated infotainment system that provides mapping data to the powertrain. This feature aims to optimize battery management, ensuring peak efficiency at all times.
Starting in the fall of 2024, the latest flagship model will be available at dealerships in two editions: "Esprit Alpine" and "Atelier Alpine." The manufacturer has yet to announce any prices.
