Red Bull’s Rising Star: Isack Hadjar Poised for F1 Role in 2025 Amidst Competitive Line-Up
Rising Red Bull F1 talent predicted to assume a position in 2025
"He undoubtedly possesses the capabilities needed for Formula 1. We'll monitor how things progress, but he is sure to take on a role in some capacity."
F2 standout Isack Hadjar is expected to "assume a position" with the Red Bull F1 team, as stated by Helmut Marko.
Hadjar is presently at the top of the 2024 F2 rankings after an outstanding season so far.
The French driver maintains a 36-point advantage in the drivers' championship, even though he has encountered several bouts of misfortune.
Hadjar is a member of Red Bull's driver development program and has participated in several FP1 practice sessions for the team.
This implies that there's currently a waiting list for a potential opportunity in Formula 1, as Liam Lawson remains on the bench following Red Bull's decision to keep Sergio Perez.
In his column for Speedweek, Marko suggested that Hadjar might have a position related to Formula 1 next year.
He mentioned that Isack Hadjar, their Formula 2 driver, secured his fourth win in the premier formula racing category at Spa.
"He definitely has the capability to reach Formula 1. We'll have to wait and see how things unfold, but he will undoubtedly assume some position."
"He might follow Lawson's path and work for a year as a test and simulator driver."
The fate of Lawson is still unknown.
It is believed that his contract contains a provision permitting him to exit the Red Bull organization in September.
Marko has indicated that he will make a decision about his future in September.
He mentioned that they would reveal Liam Lawson's future in September.
It had been planned for a while that he would get additional Formula 1 driving experience at Imola.
“Although rival teams may want to borrow him temporarily, he is not an option for them.”
